Well I'm new to this whole world if card making but am so excited to be trying a new creative outlet.
I have gone a bit mad on purchasing things and thought I'd just share my purchases with you... The start of my card/paper crafting collection (I'm still waiting on a heap of things to come in the mail.
When I discovered stampin up, it was love at first sight.... To start off my collection I purchased the brights set.
A few paper pads, versamark ink pad, multi glue; how cool is that glue? Well I was impressed but then again I'm easily amused.... And some Zing!
Well I couldn't help myself; after spending 10 minutes blowing away at my embossing powder with a hair dryer and nothing happened I was straight onto stamp nation to ask the lovely ladies a few questions.... It's amazing, I'm glad I didn't wait although being impatient person I am I probably could have bought it online and saved myself a few quid... I purchased this one from spotlight for $40 - but well worth it!
I also purchased this from spotlight; American crafts- cut up paper trimmer $79.95.
I love how the blades are interchangeable and it came with three; straight, score and decorative blades. It have compartments for you to store other blades when you purchase them. I do love how versatile it is however I am finding that when I score cards that the first part slices the card... Maybe I'm pushing too hard?
Need I say more, I purchased this online and didn't realise how big and cumbersome it was. I'm not a fan at all. I paid $40 for this thing along with two rolls of adhesive tape and I find it keeps rolling to one side almost coming off the roller and because the tape is so little and the roller part so huge I'm finding it hard to get nice and close to the edge of paper/ card stock. I should have just went with the small one from stampin up and saved myself some cash...
I have also purchased some magnolia stamps and am in love with these little cuties- I am waiting on my markers to arrive to start colouring!
Still to come my big shot machine and a heap of dies and stamps from Simon says stamp;
It was cheaper to purchase these from the US then to buy stamps and dies from Australia. However I am slowly finding amazing Aussie websites...
Please if you know of any good sites please leave me a message in the comments.
